A Beloved Past Event Series

Mose Cacao Dance at Lake Atitlán
Ceremony · Dance · Community

An ecstatic dance inspired community event guided by Mose on the shores of Lake Atitlán. Cacao Dance brought together free-spirited souls for a journey from soft ceremony into wide-open ecstatic movement, then back into integration and grounded peace. The Mose Cacao Dance series has now wound down, but the magic lives on in our weekly classes, community days, and special events.

The Experience

What Cacao Dance Was

The journey started just before sunset with a simple cacao ceremony to set intentions and drop into presence. Cacao, the food of the gods, helped open the heart and provide gentle energy. In honor of worldwide Ecstatic Dance guidelines, the group was led into silence to deepen the experience and connect inside before connecting with others through eye contact and movement. The music began softly, a gentle invitation to sink into the body, then built layer by layer into a wave of ecstatic movement and full expression. Just as powerfully, it receded, transitioning to a softer, spacious energy that invited deep introspection. By the end, you'd find yourself lying on the ground, held by soft melodies, in a state of integration and grounded peace.
