Greg grew up in France and studied in the United Kingdom. He completed a Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering at the University College London and speaks four languages including English, French, Spanish and Italian. He also completed his pilot's license at only 17 years old. Greg is an avid adventurer and loves hiking, mountain biking and Acro Yoga. Greg is the Founder and Visionary of Eagles Nest, a multi-purpose holistic living and arts venue / full service retreat centre.

After 2 years at JP Morgan in London as a Business Analyst, Greg decided that wasn't the life for him and so he set off on a journey that took him around the world, including working on the set of a Hollywood blockbuster directed by Ridley Scott, Black Hawk Down, in Morocco. Eventually he settled in Guatemala and inevitably the dilemma of ‘home’ became apparent. In the end Guatemala was the obvious choice because of a deep sense of belonging, family, freedom and the intrinsic power of Mother Earth. San Marcos was initially the exploration of an inward journey of the spiritual arts including esoteric studies, meditation, metaphysics & yoga at a retreat at Las Piramides Meditation Centre. This really connected him to his inner desire of helping the collective instead of only the self.

Greg is passionate about Acro Yoga, which was the initial inspiration behind Eagle’s Nest. He also loves movement arts, attracting talent, inspiring others, personal & collective growth, creating a nourishing space and curating WOW experiences.

Josébal is our General Manager. He takes care of the day to day operations, finances, bookings and keeping the vibes extra smooth and silky with his pianist skills. “JB” as we like to call him, is from El Salvador and holds a degree in Economic Sciences from the University of Centro America. He has over 26 years experience in the tourism industry and he also owned a restaurant of his own for 15 years.

JB is passionate about anything musical or beautiful, and is an avid Marvel and Star Wars fan. JB said that “Eagles Nest has totally changed my life. I’m living a much more healthy lifestyle now. I used to always be on the move from place to place until I found The Nest.
Gigi De Leon is our Events Coordinator and Director. She takes care of our event schedules, leads the social media and graphic design teams and is responsible for all the classes, marketing, workshops and supporting the needs of the team. Gigi was a model/beauty queen for 10 years, and she has experience as a teacher and assistant manager on public and private schools and language academies. Gigi is also involved with the Business Association of San Marcos La Laguna, and is one of the founding members of Familia Utz Corazon, a local NGO. Among many interests, she is passionate about community, social work and politics. Particularly regarding changing the current system through education and empowerment.

“Eagles Nest has provided me the opportunity to perfect my planning and organization skills and to connect with more like minded individuals. I studied Political Sciences with a major in International Diplomacy and a minor on NGOs at the University Franscico Marroquin in Guatemala City. I also have an associates degree in early childhood education and a Doctoral Degree in Educational Systems Quality Control from the University of Galileo Guatemala."
Adriana is our Kitchen Chief and coordinates all kitchen operations, including stock orders, scheduling and preparing our delicious and healthy meals. She is also from San Marcos and has a specialization in nursing from San José private school plus 10 years experience in kitchens. Adriana is a single mother of two young boys and loves to spend time with her kids & play basketball.

Emma Is our Visual Magician. She helps with visual branding and is our onsite photographer/videographer. Emma studied Visual Communications & Journalism at the University of Colorado Boulder, and has been working in the industry for over 7 years.

Emma is Passionate about giving people a voice, and helping conscious businesses showcase their brand in order to help them reach the largest possible audience. She also loves immersing herself in new cultures, making people smile and wild adventures!

Arnoldo is our Maintenance Supervisor and all round handyman. He takes care of all of the odd jobs and coordinates construction around The Nest in close collaboration with Greg. Arnoldo is also from San Marcos and has over 9 years experience, including 3 years at the Civil Water Treatment department for the local government and 6 years at Eagles Nest. He has been with us from the beginning and we are very grateful for his contributions over the years.

Arnoldo loves to spend time with his family, go for hikes in the forest, play football and spend time with his friends in the lake.

“I have learnt so much working here, especially regarding construction skills and techniques. I enjoy the challenge of finding creative solutions for problems and collaborating directly with Greg. From a personal point of view, I have been able to achieve my goal of owning my own home for my family in San Marcos.”
Gáspar is our Chief of Construction. He coordinates all new construction projects and ensures that everything is running smoothly and on-time. He also deals with the financial administration of the projects. Gáspar is from a family that has lived in San Marcos for generations and has over 25 years experience in Construction.

He is passionate about Football as he used to play semi-professionally. His favorite team is Municipal from Guatemala. Internationally his favorite team is Real Madrid.

“This has been my most exciting construction role as it has been the biggest and most challenging project I have worked on so far. I feel very happy to work at Eagles Nest and feel that it’s presence in the community is a big plus. I love the fact that through my position I am able to provide many jobs to people in the local community as I hire most of my staff exclusively from San Marcos.”
Sandra is our Hospitality Supervisor and coordinates the care of our guest rooms & provides assistance in the kitchen as well. Sandra has over 5 years experience in hospitality, including clinics and childcare. Sandra's family is from San Marcos and she has a special interest in a degree in nursing so that she can pursue her passion of caring for the elderly and those with illness. She also loves playing basketball, soccer and baking. Especially desserts!

“Eagles Nest has been a huge blessing for me. Due to the pandemic my whole family, which consists of 11 people, lost their livelihoods. As a result we relied solely on my income during this time. I am very grateful for Eagles Nest because I have been able to keep on track with my personal goals & support my loved ones at the same time.
