From Guatemala City you can take a short flight (about 1 hour) or a long bus ride (about 12 hours) to Flores, a charming town in the north of the country. Fuente del Norte is an excellent bus company, offering air conditioned shuttle buses (luxury seats available!) to Tikal. From here, you can start your adventure to explore the ancient Mayan ruins of Tikal.
